Pooler is the area of Chatham County growing most quickly. It is a family-oriented town with a variety of homes and a wealth of recreational opportunities. It is conveniently located off of I-95, and is a short drive to downtown Savannah.

Residential building is focused in and around Pooler, especially the areas of Godley Station and Berwick, as well as a dozen other large master-planned communities such as Southbridge and Savannah Quarters, which offer attractive golf communities.
One reason for this rapid growth is the Georgia Port Authority, which is the 3rd largest port facility in the nation, serving the likes of such giants as Norfolk Southern and CSX, making the westside a prime distribution area. Another plus for the westside area is that the schools in this area are ranked 10% of the state’s best (that includes 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools). Besides good schools, the areas of Pooler and Berwick are both host to a large amount of stores, restaurants, and medical offices.
Pooler communities offer easy access to Interstate Highways 95 and 16, as well as to the Hilton Head International Airport, which makes the area a popular choice for commuters. Many of the neighborhoods within these communities have Homeowners’ Associations, as well as community events.
